Freshman Orientation Camp: YES Means Youth, Explore, with Style

Why shouldn't you miss this orientation camp? Watch this video!

Earn Credit: Participants who receive a completion certificate can waive 6 hours of the "Introduction to University" course.
Early Start: Kickstart your university life early by getting to know the campus and familiarizing yourself with the environment.
Build a Network: Establish cross-college connections, make new friends from different departments, and build a network for future collaboration.

Time: September 10 (Wed) – September 11 (Thu), 2025 | Daytime Camp
Location: FJCU Campus (Science and Engineering Building classrooms, FG202, 302, 507, etc.)
Second Phase Registration: From now until August 24, 2025 (Sun) 23:59 (Limited to Life Science, Food Science, Japanese Division A, Interdisciplinary Program of Creative Innovation, and Textile Design)

YES! What is the Youth Lab?

This is a two-day orientation camp specifically tailored for freshmen from the Colleges of Science and Engineering, Foreign Languages, Human Ecology, and Textiles. Through hands-on courses, campus exploration, group collaboration, and senior student experience sharing, you will get to know FJCU and your department. Develop interdisciplinary learning and teamwork skills to start your university career with confidence! We'll lead you through a smooth transition from high school to university, opening a brand-new chapter!

Target Participants (Advanced Placement / Division Exam) | Xplorer Project encouraged

College of Science and Engineering: Dept. of Life Science (11 students)
College of Foreign Languages: Creative Innovation Program & Dept. of Japanese Division A (18 students)
College of Human Ecology: Dept. of Food Science (10 students)
College of Textiles: Textile Design Section (12 students)

Important Notes

1️⃣ Participation is highly encouraged for all freshmen in the specified departments but is not mandatory.
2️⃣ A completion certificate will be issued at the end of the camp. Holders can waive six hours (three weeks) of the "Introduction to University" course.
3️⃣ Students who do not participate in the camp will be arranged to attend other orientation and learning activities (such as Jing Xin Hall activities).
